We review within 1 business day and email you a prepaid USPS label.
Drop it at any post office. Refunds and credits go out 1–3 business days after it arrives.

Exchange: free return shipping. Tell us the style or color you'd like in the request notes and we'll set it up.
Store credit: free return shipping, full merchandise value as a Captain Hat Co. gift card.
Refund: back to your original payment method, less $8.95 for the prepaid return label. Original shipping isn't refunded.

Sorry about that. We'll make it right and cover the shipping. Start a return, choose Damaged or Wrong item as the reason, then reply to your confirmation email with a quick photo so we can fix it fast.
Good to know
Please ship in a sturdy box about 12 × 9 × 6 in (or the box it came in) so the brim isn't crushed. Gift cards and items marked Final Sale can't be returned. Bulk, wholesale and custom orders are handled directly. Just email us.

Such a fun hat! It instantly puts you in a good mood and is definitely a conversation starter. The colors are vibrant, and the quality feels great. The only thing I’d mention is the sizing. I had to wear it on the smallest snap setting and it still didn’t fit, while my fiancé… who usually can’t wear snapbacks because they’re not big enough… was able to wear this one comfortably. I love that it fits such a wide range of people. Overall, I’m so happy with it that I would absolutely buy it again! It’s just too much fun and matched my swimsuit perfectly!

I have worn this hat on several multi day river trips and concerts. I was worried about it blowing off with upstream winds on the river, not an issue if you tighten it down. Endless compliments and just a fun hat. Can’t wait to wear to festivals and more concert.
